Pornography in the Libraries: Karen England Testifies Against AB 416

PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED

Occasionally the information we share is obscene, and we realize that may be upsetting to some. Sadly, this is the same information that’s being given to America’s children, and we realize that in order for it to be stopped, it must be exposed. We’re grateful that you bear with us and we look forward to the day when our children’s innocence is so well protected that we no longer need to share content like this.

You’re about to hear a 2 minute testimony that perfectly illustrates why the work we’re doing at Take Back the Classroom is crucial.

Legislators around the country are working night and day to cement the rights of librarians, teachers, and administrators to keep porn in the hands of children.

Yesterday in Nevada our President Karen England called in her testimony to oppose Nevada’s latest proposed bill AB 416. Her testimony rocked the hearings, as she confronted the bold-faced lies that book bans are happening because of racism and homophobia. The real reason parents want books removed is because of their outrageously vulgar content.

Reading from these books isn’t easy, but the truth and severity of the problem must be made public. Protecting our children requires fearless advocacy.

Brace yourself and listen to Karen's incredible 2-minute testimony here.

How can I join the fight?

To empower our community to respond, we’re directing you to resources for further action. At the forefront is the "Take Back the Classroom" initiative, led by Karen England, which provides tools to address inappropriate content in educational settings.

We urge concerned individuals to explore these resources, stay engaged, and join us in protecting our schools and libraries.
